Oregon police find mother of 3 abandoned kids
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Police in Oregon say they've found the mother of three children who were abandoned in a Portland shed.
The police released a brief statement Friday saying the mother had been located and they won't say more while they investigate the case.
Homeless people at a vacant home in southeast Portland told police a woman dropped off the children Wednesday night.
The children were described as healthy and in protective custody.
Their ages weren't known, but they appeared to be younger than 4. One was a toddler, and two others weighed less than 30 pounds.
