Thousands of pumpkin decoration kits sold at Target recalled
BETHESDA, Md. -- For many trick-or-treaters, decorating a pumpkin is one of the treats of Halloween. But there's concern about some pumpkin decoration kits.
Ninety-seven-thousand "Mr. Potato Head" pumpkin-decoration kits sold at Target stores are being voluntarily recalled by Paper Magic Group. The five-dollar kits include plastic parts like ears, eyes, noses and other features.
No injuries have been reported, but there's concern the parts could break and cause a young child to choke.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says consumers should stop using the Mr. Potato Head kits, labeled 'Make a Monster Pumpkin', 'Make a Fireman Pumpkin' and Mrs. Potato Head 'Make a Diva,' and return them to Target for a refund.
