Feds head to trial for ties to fugitive crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger
The federal government goes on trial in a lawsuit linking them with fugitive crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger.
The wrongful death lawsuit ties the Feds and Bulger in the 1984 murder of John McIntyre.
Longtime Bulger associate Stephen "The Rifleman" Flemmi admitted to the murder and implicated Bulger.
John McIntyre was allegedly killed because former FBI agent John Connolly leaked word that McIntyre was cooperating against Bulger.
The wrongful death suit seeks $50 million.
