Brutal attack on Philadelphia bus
PHILADELPHIA (WHDH) -- Surveillance cameras were rolling inside a SEPTA bus when three men were seen beating another passenger.
"I was standing out here and looked on the bus, you could see them, broad as daylight" said Ahmad Kidd, witness.
Ahmad Kidd was standing on the sidewalk along Broad Street talking with a friend when he says he saw the suspects repeatedly pounding on the victim.
"They punched him, stomped him, and ran off the bus," Kidd said.
The attack happened yesterday just before one in the morning. The video shows the three men getting on the bus moments after the victim. Seconds later, they're seen approaching him at the back of the bus. After a brief exchange of words, the trio started assaulting the 25-year-old.
This camera angle shows the moment the victim fell to the floor. But police say, instead of stopping, the bad guys continued to beat him.
One guy is even seen taking off his sneaker and bashing the man over the head with it, before all three take off down Wyoming Avenue.
"You just don't do stuff like that," said Kidd.
As for Kidd, he says he's surprised and disappointed that no one on the bus stepped in to try to help the victim.
"Ain’t nobody tried to help this guy. People are not right,” said Kidd.
