WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A pilot is in the hospital, recovering after an ultralight plane went down in the Everglades Saturday.

The plane crashed into a canal on Tamiami Trail in west Miami-Dade.

Two people were on board at the time.

The conductor of an Airboat tour jumped into the water to save the pilot and passenger.
