Caught on camera: Thief steals donut truck

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (CNN) -- Was it a crime of opportunity, a chance for a joy ride, or a thief with a sweet tooth?
Thursday night, the Krispy Kreme delivery man arrived at the Quick Shop on schedule. Store surveillance video shows the driver unloading the trays of fresh donuts.
"He didn't even stay more than probably two minutes in the store," said store owner Peter Thakkar.
Another surveillance camera shows another man approaching the delivery truck. Seconds later, he and the truck are gone.
A store clerk immediately called the police.
"The first thing I thought was, funny, cops chasing a donut truck," said employee Susan Patterson.
Police say the driver, James Freddy Major, led them on a nearly 15-mile chase. He eventually came to a dead end in a residential neighborhood. Police say he tried to run, but a police dog tracked him down.
