Man attacks 2 women with baseball bat

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (NBC) —Two women said they were attacked by a man with a baseball bat in downtown Orlando.

Two women say they were attacked early Sunday morning while returning home from a night on the town.

The pair said the robber hit them on the head outside the Grand Apartments on East South Street early Sunday morning.

The women had parked their car and walked to the front gate. One of the victims said as soon as they reached to open it, the man attacked her and she was knock out.

Rebecca Naudasher and her friend had just come home after a night on the town.

"As I came up to open the door, kind of out the corner of my eye, that's when it happened. Someone just kind of ran up and hit me in the back of the head with a bat," said Naudasher.

Doctors had to put a dozen staples in her head to stitch up her injury.

"They hit me first and I kind of passed out and fell over. She (referring to her friend) was sitting on the ground crouched up and they were hitting her," said Naudasher.

Naudasher said she didn't know what happened until she came too and paramedics were standing over her head.

Naudasher said the robber did steal her purse.
