Would-be burglar takes police on a chase

BOCA RATON, Fla. (WHDH) -- High speeds and wild ride on the road for police and deputies.
Police chased a would-be burglar who refused to hit the brakes.
A quiet Sunday morning turned on its head after a break in leads to an interstate chase and this one was caught on camera.
Broward sheriff's deputies and Boca Raton police raced north on I-95 after a man suspected of trying to break into a house.
It all started when a neighbor saw the man outside 3951 Northwest 45th Terrace in Lauderdale Lakes at around 8:45 in the morning.
Initial attempts to stop him failed. "As our deputies were arriving they saw the vehicle and a man fleeing from the neighborhood."
The driver took off, slamming a deputy’s cruiser into a pole, and that's when police said the chase began. The suspect was heading up I-95 when deputies finally stopped the car around Palmetto Parkway, but the would-be burglar kept going. "The suspect still was trying to flee; he got out of the car, started running. He had a bite mark from the dog."
The Saturday morning chase ended with no other injuries. No other drivers were hurt, but one would-be burglar who tried to run, ultimately just couldn't get away.
