Another juror in the George Zimmerman trial came forward
UNDATED (WHDH) -- Nearly two weeks after George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges in the death of Trayvon Martin, a second juror came forward to tell her side of the story.
The mother of eight, who only gave her first name, was the only minority on the panel. She said the jury was initially split and she wasn’t the only juror who believed Zimmerman was guilty of killing Trayvon Martin.
She is the latest juror to come forward and now she feels she owes Martin’s parents an apology. She told ABC News the verdict weighed heavily on her.
“George Zimmerman got away with murder, but you can’t get away from God. I carry him on my back. I’m hurting as much as Trayvon Martin’s mom is,” she said.
The juror said even though she feels Zimmerman is guilty, there wasn’t enough evidence at trial to convict him under Florida law.
