Police discover gas can in child's car seat

UNDATED (WHDH) – A Colorado driver was accused of driving dangerously when police discovered a gas can strapped in a car seat, while a child sat beside it.

The officer made the discovery when he pulled the driver over for a seat belt violation.

The driver told officers the child lets himself out of the safety seat all the time.

Colorado law requires children under the age of eight to be in some kind of car seat.
