Mountain Dew bottle tainted with whiskey

SHORELINE, Wash. (WHDH) -- A 13-year-old boy in Washington state said he ended up drinking whiskey when he thought he was drinking Mountain Dew.

Marcus Olson bought the mountain dew and soon realized it had a strange taste.

His mother then noticed it smelled of whiskey.

She contacted Pepsi but is not satisfied with the response.

"They said, well, send us in a bottle, here's some coupons for free Pepsi products and oops. Safeway, I got a letter from their human resources and they say they aren't accountable for anything, that it is a vendor issue and to deal with them,” said Maria Grant.

Managers at the store say they inspected other bottles but found nothing else unusual.
