Welker to have knee surgery Tuesday
BOSTON -- Wes Welker will return to Boston for surgery on his left knee.
The New England Patriots wide receiver is scheduled to undergo the procedure next Tuesday at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to The Boston Globe.
Welker had been waiting for his MCL injury to heal before having surgery on his ACL tear.
His recovery could take anywhere from six to 12 months, meaning he will not be available to play at the start of next season.
