Welker to have surgery Tuesday
FOXBORO, Mass. -- Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker is set to have surgery on his left knee on Tuesday.
Welker tore the MCL and ACL in his left knee one month ago, during the regular season finale against Houston. He had to wait for the MCL to heal before under surgery to fix the ACL.
The surgery will take place at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Welker had a career year in 2009, finishing with 123 catches for 1,348 yards and four touchdowns.
