Congressman Lynch's statement on Kerry nomination

BOSTON (WHDH) -- President Barack Obama nominated Sen. John Kerry as his secretary of state.
The office of Congressman Stephen F. Lynch released an official statement on the nomination Friday afternoon:
"Firstly, Senator John Kerry's nomination for U.S. Secretary of State is a tremendous honor and a credit to Massachusetts. It is a well-deserved achievement. I congratulate him and wish him every success. As for my own plans, right now I am focused on the few days left for Congress to avoid the fiscal cliff. After that, I will have some big decisions to make."
