Sen. Kerry may visit Iran

WASHINGTON -- Sen. John Kerry could soon be headed to Iran, according to the Wall Street Journal.

He would be the highest-ranking American to travel to Tehran since the 1979 revolution and hostage crisis.

The Wall Street Journal reports White House officials would not be opposed to the visit.

Kerry is the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
