BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Florida Senator Marco Rubio offered a show of support for Mitt Romney with a fundraiser in Boston Friday.
Sen. Rubio arrived at the Boston Harbor Hotel hoping to raise money for the Romney Campaign.
“I’m just here to help,” said Sen. Rubio.
Rubio's high profile in the Romney Campaign continued to fuel speculation he will be Romney’s choice for running mate.
Many of those who came to hear him speak said he would be a great choice.
“I think he is exciting. He brings something to the plate. I think when he talks, I think he is right on,” said Martha Chardwick.
“I think he is dynamic, well-spoken, and smart. I think his being Hispanic is great as well,” said
The latest name jumping to the front of the pack for some is Condoleezza Rice.
A few months ago, when her name first came up as a possible running mate, Rice said, “It’s not for me. I love policy. I love public service. I am awfully happy doing what I’m doing.”
Some that came to the event said she would bring a lot to the ticket.
“[She] certainly has a lot of foreign policy experience and would be, should be on the short list to be vice president,” said George Hoguet.
Rubio wouldn’t talk about the Rice speculation.
“The weather is nice,” Rubio responded when asked about Rice, showing the Romney Campaign that he knows when to say little or nothing at all.
The Romney campaign was not shy about trying to raise money off of all the vice-president speculation, including having a fundraising lottery for a chance to meet Romney and his running mate, whomever that may be.
