3 Democrats for governor to debate on TV in NH

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire's three Democrats running for governor are getting their chance to make their pitches to the public in a televised debate.

The candidates face off at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College. The debate will air live on WMUR-TV. The Union Leader also is hosting.

Maggie Hassan, Jackie Cilley and Bill Kennedy are seeking the Democratic Party nomination.

The primary is Sept. 11.

The Republican candidates debate Thursday night. Ovide Lamontagne, Kevin Smith and Robert Tarr are competing for the Republican Party nomination.
