BOSTON (WHDH) -- Governor Patrick worked hard to get his friend, president Obama re-elected.

The governor said it was an affirmation of the president's vision for America.

"People have had it with obstructionist politics, they know who’s responsible for it, they've rejected those candidates and that point of view and the president I think has not just a squeaker of a win but a decisive one and I'm looking forward to moving forward and I think the country is too."

Governor Patrick has been a big supporter of both Warren and President Obama.

He stumped for Warren on the campaign trail in Massachusetts, and gave a big speech in support of the president at the Democratic National Convention in September.
