MARTHA’S VINEYARD, Mass. (WHDH) -- An attorney for a cab driver who got into an argument with a Scott Brown campaign staffer while driving Elizabeth Warren spoke out Wednesday.
A YouTube video shows the driver -- who owns a small cab company -- getting into an altercation with a GOP campaign tracker photography who was hired to follow Warren at public events.
The driver is seen trying to keep the photographer away and at one point appears to throw the tracker’s camera to the ground.
The driver told 7News he was not trying to protect Elizabeth Warren.
“What hasn’t been reported is that he had his 4-year-old daughter in the cab with him. At that time, he went to pick up Ms. Warren and a person with a camera approached him. We understand it now that that person is an operative with the Brown campaign and my client simply held up his hand as he was legally entitled to do because he was worried that the cameraman was going to photograph or record his daughter,” said Daniel Larkosh, driver’s attorney.
Oak Bluffs police said they are not investigating because no report was filed on the matter.
