Tom Weaver is a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Massachusetts’ third district.
Weaver was born in 1952 and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He received his bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from the US Naval Academy in 1974. Weaver went on to earn a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1982.
He was appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy in 1970 and is a Certified Naval Chief Nuclear Engineer. He was Navigator of the USS Texas, as well as an electrical officer on the USS Virginia.
Weaver has been a resident of Massachusetts since 1979.
He is the father of six children. He and his wife are currently raising their youngest son. The older five children have jobs in the military and private sectors.
Weaver is owner of DTW systems, a company that specializes in cleaning water. He is also the co-founder of Show ID to Vote, a citizen organization to promote voter participation. He’s a Tea Party activist, a constitutional history speaker and a nuclear energy speaker. Weaver is an Eagle Scout and regularly contributes to Boy Scouts of America, which his youngest son is active in. He also plays the guitar.
