Adam Chaprales is a Republican candidate for U.S. Representative for the 9th District.

Adam Chaprales is a life-long resident of Cape Cod. He was raised in a family of commercial fisherman.

In 2010, Chaprales married his wife Aynaz. They live in Marston Mills with their dogs and are expecting their first child in January.

Chaprales is the son of a Portuguese mother and a Greek father. Culture and family is very important to him and he takes pride in his diverse heritage.

Chaprales has three older brothers, a fisherman, policeman and a carpenter.

At 14, he started his own business called Dockside Detailing and spent his summers detailing boats. After graduating from Sandwich High School he earned an Associate’s degree from Cape Cod Community College.

At 21, Chaprales ran for the Board of Selectman in Sandwich and won, becoming the youngest member elected in the history of the town. In 2008 he became Vice Chairman of the board. He also served as liaison to the Sandwich Hollows Golf Advisory Committee, School Committee liaison, and Cemetery Commissioner.

He produced The Adam Show, a local television show produced to shed light on issues affecting Massachusetts and the local Cape communities.

While working full time, Chaprales attended Suffolk University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Chaprales and his wife enjoy boating, hunting, and shooting skeet at the Marstons Mills Gun Club. Chaprales can often be found on Nantucket Sound in his father’s fishing boat.

Chaprales is also a volunteer with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association of Cape Cod where he has been a mentor for nearly five years.
