MA Democratic Party official sparks controversy

BOSTON (WHDH) -- A state Democratic Party official sparked a campaign controversy for comments he made about an ad for Senator Scott Brown.
The ad in question featured Scott Brown's wife describing how he took care of their home and kids while she worked.
John Walsh, the head of the Massachusetts' Democratic Party, was at a breakfast when he referenced the ad and the Republican Senator.
"He's a regular guy. I mean, he spent a couple million dollars folding towels on TV to prove he's an honorary girl. We appreciate that," said Walsh.
The Brown campaign responded in a statement.
"When a candidate starts to fall behind in the polls - is when they resort to name-calling and personal insults,” said Alleigh Marre, Scott Brown’s spokeswoman.
John Walsh also released a response saying he regretted making that initial remark.
