U.S. House District 9: Adam Chaprales on the issues

On the Web
Jobs and the Economy
Adam understands that our families depend on Congress to create a favorable business climate that safeguards our jobs. He also knows that businesses can only create new jobs when we allow them to be successful. Adam’s pro-growth agenda focuses on creating private sector jobs by limiting government spending, backtracking regulations and lowering taxes.
Debt and Deficit Reduction
Our families work hard to balance their household budgets, and Adam believes leaders in Congress should take the same approach. Like most Americans, he thinks it is outrageous that we have not passed a budget in over three years. In Massachusetts, voters don’t let partisanship prevent them from using common sense; which is why Adam will work hard with all of his congressional colleagues to pass a balanced budget that always keeps the American tax payer in mind.
Washington’s spending spree has gone on for far too long, and the consequences now prevent our children and grandchildren from inheriting the same opportunities we were blessed with. Nearly a third of our 16 trillion dollar national debt was created in the last three years. Our debt is roughly 104% of our GDP, putting us on track to join our European neighbors in crisis if we continue down this path.
Like most Americans, Adam wants a better future for his family. Adam will make immediate proposals for comprehensive budget reform, because he believes Americans deserve more than the tax dollar dependent, quick-fixes of this administration.
Reducing Regulatory Burdens
Regulatory agencies in Washington are suffocating our businesses, driving our jobs out of state and across oceans. An unprecedented number of new regulations have emerged from legislation like Dodd-Frank and Obamacare, forcing businesses to choose between the costs of compliance and creating more jobs.
The current administration has only managed to amplify the risk for startup companies. Adam will work to reduce that risk, encouraging businesses to grow and employ more Americans. Adam knows Massachusetts families depend on their local businesses, and he is ready to defend small business owners by working to eliminate regulations that make it harder for them to provide jobs.
Reforming the Tax Code
Lower, competitive tax rates are better for businesses and growing families. Adam will work to create a tax climate that encourages local businesses to reinvest in our communities. Every dollar of your hard-earned paycheck matters to your family, and Adam will defend your right to keep more of it.
The United States has the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world, making us less competitive in a global market. Adam will work to promote job growth and economic expansion by providing incentive for businesses to do their work in America. Business owners, entrepreneurs and families are looking to Congress to help restore economic confidence; Adam will work to lower taxes that over-burden the free market and constrain economic investment opportunities.
Solutions for Healthcare
Adam believes Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with practical solutions. Centralized government healthcare is not the answer to rising healthcare costs. ObamaCare adds trillions of dollars in long-term government spending to an already bankrupt federal budget. Adam is prepared to initiate consumer-centered, market-based solutions that reduce the rising costs of healthcare, including comprehensive tort reform and allowing for the purchase of insurance across state lines.
