Warren to stump with Republican ex-FDIC chairwoman
BOSTON (AP) -- Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren are back on the campaign trail touting new endorsements in the race.
Brown released a web video on Wednesday featuring former Republican Governor Paul Cellucci, who is now battling Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Cellucci praises Brown for being socially moderate and fiscally conservative, and for his willingness to work with members of both parties.
Warren, meanwhile, was scheduled to campaign on Wednesday with Sheila Bair, the former Republican chairwoman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Warren said she and Bair would meet with community banks and credit unions to discuss ways to "level the playing field for working families."
Warren, a Harvard Law School professor, said she worked closely with Bair to create the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington.
