Biography

Married to Krista Clark...Graduated from Abilene (TX) High School in 1997...Played football, basketball and baseball (first base),earning 2-time All-District first team honors...Named All-State as a senior after hitting .541 with 21 RBI...Spent the 1998 season at the University of Texas-Arlington, playing first base and pitching occasionally as a reliever...That summer learned to pitch in the Kansas Jayhawk Summer League...Played the 1999 season at Grayson County (TX) College and was a member of the 1999 Junior College World Series Champion team that went 50-13...Posted a 10-3 record with a 4.23 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 100.0 innings... As a hitter, batted .428 with 15 home runs and 81 RBI...Collected 8 hits in the World Series, including 2 homers and 7 RBI...Participated in Major League Baseball's 2006 All-Star Series in Japan...During the off-season, helps coach baseball at John Horn High in Mesquite, TX, where his father is head coach.
