Married to Adair...Attended the University of North Carolina and went 23-12 with a 3.86 ERA (116 ER/270.1 IP) and 235 strikeouts over 3 seasons with the Tar Heels...Tied career high in wins (8) and posted personal bests in ERA (3.47) and strikeouts (90) as a junior in 2006...Played for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2005...His father Paul played 5 years of minor league baseball in the Dodgers and Orioles organizations...Younger brother Luke was selected by the Red Sox in the 16th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft but did not sign.
