Broncos' John Elway on Wes Welker trade

DENVER (WHDH) -- Hall of Famer, John Elway, the Broncos current Executive VP said Welker is a great catch.

“Anytime that you can take a player from a team that you have to compete against always helps, especially at the caliber of a Wes Welker. So, we feel good in the fact that he’s coming to us and we do play [the Patriots] next year,” said Elway.

Wes Welker signed a 2-year, $12 million deal with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday.
