B's fans show support as team returns to Boston
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Bruins fans were on a frenzy. They stocked up on team gear in the pro shop to prepare for Game 3 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Others welcomed the Bruins back in person.
“They’re going all the way, for sure to the end. It’s gonna be great,” said one fan.
One woman in the pro shop bought her son a jersey because he bought her tickets to Game 3.
“I was there for the game that they won last week and it was magical,” she said.
Mike Addington is a Bruin’s fan from Ottowa. He made the trip down to Boston for Game 3 and he said this trip is setting him and his wife back at least $2,000. But he said it’s worth it.
“I was a Bruins fan before Ottowa came into the league and stuck with them,” said Addington.
Bruins fans near the Bobby Orr statue made some funny poses for pictures. They were just as optimistic as ever after the B’s clinched their 2-0 lead in the series.
“I think it’s unbelievable. We’re two games ahead of these guys. We’re gonna do it, we’re gonna go all the way,” said fan, Kelly Lee.
Each year the Bruins pro shop stocks the shelves with new team gear and with all the warm weather Boston has been getting, the Bruins bikini is a perfect fit.
“I think it’s awesome. Just think, if you can fit into this, wear it to the game. You’d had to have maybe a sweater with it,” said Bruin’s employee Mary Pederson.
Only singles tickets are available for Game 3 and the cheapest goes for nearly $400. It will be held at the TD Garden Wednesday night. Puck drop is eight o’clock.
