Patriots beat Buccaneers in 2nd preseason game
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Tom Brady looked like his usual self Friday night in the Patriots’ second preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His first pass attempt was right on the money. It found Danny Amendola on the sidelines for a gain of six. Then to cap off the drive, Brady found Amendola across the middle for a 26-yard touchdown strike. He was a perfect eight for eight on the opening drive.
The biggest question going into Friday’s game, besides Brady’s knee, was the Patriots’ pass rush. But they answered the bell in a big way. Chanlder Jones and Brandon Spijes each had a sack as the defense combined for four on the night.
In the 4th quarter it was Tebow time, but it didn’t go well. Tebow looked across the middle for Kembrell Thompkins, but was picked off. Tebow “one” of “seven” for negative one yards.
The Pats went on to win it 25-21.
