Former teammates proud of Jeremy Lin
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WHDH) -- Jeremy Lin has taken the country and NBA by storm.
Jeremy Lin is everywhere these days, from shooting the winning shot with the Knicks to even being the subject of the first skit this weekend on Saturday Night Live.
But before “Linsanity” gripped the nation, Jeremy Lin was just another Harvard basketball player practicing in the Harvard gym, dreaming of the life he now lives.
“He’s a very humble guy, very hard working and determined for what he wants. He keeps his morals and values intact. He was the hardest worker in the gym day in and day out with us,” said Kyle Casey, Harvard forward.
Crimson forward Kyle Casey played with Lin and couldn't be prouder.
“His swagger and his confidence is off the charts. It’s well deserved,” Casey said.
The spotlight on Harvard’s basketball program couldn’t come at a better time
“The season that we're having right now and what he’s doing is combining into something really great especially on this campus,” said casey.
The “Linsanity” all started in Cambridge, and makes Harvard players dream even bigger.
“Seeing what he’s doing right now absolutely gives us hope and drives us that much more to achieve our goals,” said Casey.
Ben and Jerry’s has even put out a new flavor of ice cream called “Taste The Lin-Sanity.”
