Strong day for American divers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- American divers medaled in all four finals held at the USA Diving Grand Prix on Saturday.

Thomas Finchum came in second in the men's 10-meter platform event with a score of 509.25. China's Zhou Luxin, who won the 2008 Olympic silver medal in the 10-meter platform, won the event with a 518.75.

Troy Dumais and Kristian Ipsen took silver in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard with a score of 376.86.

Christina Loukas came in third in the women's 3-meter springboard competition with a 325.70.

Amy Cozad and Laura Ryan placed third with a 294.75 in the women's synchronized 10-meter platform event.

Han Wang of China won the women's 3-meter springboard and Arantxa Chanez of Mexico came in second.

Huang Qiang and Bryan Nickson Lomas of Malaysia won the men's synchronized 3-meter competition. Americans Christopher Colwill and Drew Livingston took third.

Liu Huixia and Jiaming Zhu of China won the women's synchronized 10-meter platform. Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion of Canada came in second.

Ivan Garcia of Mexico came in third in the men's 10-meter platform event.
