Preview of the Cavaliers-Celtics series
BOSTON -- The matchup between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA playoffs will pit two teams that were tied at two games each during four meetings in the regular season.
Boston won a game that Cleveland star LeBron James missed. The Cavaliers took the one that Kevin Garnett sat out.
The stakes are higher when the two teams meet in the second round of the NBA playoffs tomorrow.
The Celtics had a surprisingly difficult time in the first round, needing seven games to eliminate Atlanta.
Things won't get any easier now, because James and the rest of the defending Eastern Conference champions will be fresher, with Boston getting just one day off before the series starts.
The key matchup will feature Paul Pierce against James, Garnett against Ben Wallace, and former Celtics' Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak.
