Ray Allen works on shooting with Pistons on the horizon
WALTHAM, Mass. -- Celtics coach Doc Rivers says he's not worried about Ray Allen's shooting woes with the Detroit Pistons looming in the Eastern Conference finals.
But Allen himself appears to be concerned.
The Celtics guard stayed for about a half hour after practice today working on his shooting and playing a little one-on-one with guard Sam Cassell.
Allen averaged just 9.3 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers after averaging 17.4 in the regular season. He had just 4 points on 1-for-6 shooting in yesterday's Game 7 win over the Cavs.
The Celtics held a light practice today. Game 1 is tomorrow night at the Garden.
The Pistons had a whole week off after dispatching with the Orlando Magic, but Rivers says he doesn't know if being rested is an advantage or not.
