Bruins prepare for Sabres, 5-game road trip

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Bruins prepared to square off against the Buffalo Sabres. Their trip includes two games down in Florida.

While home ice advantage is always a factor, some of the Bruins actually look forward to the travel, especially when you take into account the designations.

“Last five years or so I’ve been here we've been a good road team. So I’m looking forward to it. I like road trips. I like being around the guys. I think most of our group is like that. It’ll be a good test the next five games but there’s worse places to go than Tampa and Florida too,” said Shawn Thornton.

The Bruins play the Buffalo Sabres Friday at 7 p.m.
