BOSTON (WHDH) -- After opening their longest road trip of the season with a loss in Buffalo, the Bruins responded by rattling off a season-best four wins in a row improving to 8-1-1 away from the TD Garden.

Garnering eight straight points out of the five game road trip which saw 13 different Bruins score goals is a true testament to the team mentality the Black and Gold embrace when it comes to putting pucks in the net.

“I think everyone pulls on that same rope and everyone’s playing for the one common goal to win and it doesn’t really matter who scores,” said Bruins forward Chris Bourque.

Scoring is certainly a team effort for the Bruins. Right now, that effort is led by Brad Marchand’s 10 goals.

“For us, it’s bouncing the right way right now, and we’re not really thinking anything of it,” Marchand said.

And in this shortened season, you have to win games. The Bruins are doing that, now 12-2-2 and off to their best start in nearly 30 years.

“We’ve been together for a while, so it wasn’t so much about the teaching in the first couple of months more than the getting used to playing together again,” said Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien.

If the B's keep up the good play, they have a real shot at continuing to play together come late June.
