Bruins to take advantage of week's worth of practice
BOSTON (WHDH) -- After two days off, the Boston Bruins got back on the ice and back to work Tuesday.
“It was a good practice. We did some good drills,” said Bruins captain Zdeno Chara.
The Bruins series with the Pittsburgh Penguins begins this weekend.
“I think our team has matured a lot more in regards to that…we had a long break, too, when we swept Philly…a few years ago and we handled it well. Based on [Tuesday’s] practice, I thought we practiced really well,” said Bruins coach Claude Julien.
The Bruins will have to keep the momentum going and take advantage of a week’s worth of workouts.
“Have to practice hard, even if you want to take some rest. You have work very hard during the practices, almost as hard as you’re going to play,” said Jaromir Jagr.
“All this time we should be making the most of it and getting ourselves prepared for the challenges we’re going to face in this series,” said Milan Lucic.
Andrew Ference skated with the team Tuesday, but a return to the lineup has not been determined.
