Stanley Cup coming to Maine

CORNISH, Maine -- The Stanley Cup is coming to Maine.

The Boston Bruins won the cup earlier this year by beating the Vancouver Canucks in the National Hockey League championship series.

WMTW-TV says winning team members and employees are awarded a day with the trophy, and that Bruins Vice President of Finance Jim Bednarek has chosen to display the trophy at Krista's Restaurant in Cornish, where he is a regular customer.

Krista's is holding an outdoor celebration and barbecue from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 for everyone who wants to see the cup.
