PrintBergeron named Selke Trophy finalist

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Patrice Bergeron was named a Frank J. Selke Trophy finalist on Monday.
The Boston Bruins forward is one of three finalists for the 2011-2012 trophy. It is given annually to “the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.”
David Backes of St. Louis and Pavel Datsyuk of Detroit were also nominated.
This is Begeron’s first time being nominated for the trophy.
