BOSTON (WHDH) -- Talks broke off in the NHL labor negotiations.
The league calls the latest offer from players "unacceptable."
Bruins' forward, Shawn Thornton said he's still a hopeful a deal can get done.
"I hope so, and I hope it's the 'now' and not the 'never'. I think, obviously, every day that goes by ticks away at the calendar and the clock, and we lose paychecks every day, too. And they lose revenue and games played every day too, so that's the urgency finally starting to kick through on both sides,” said Thornton.
More than 400 games have been canceled, and more games are expected to be canceled soon.
