BOSTON (WHDH) -- Boston Bruins enforcer Shawn Thornton skated on Monday morning after suffering a concussion last Thursday.

Thornton sustained the concussion in a fight with John Scott of the Buffalo Sabres just 2 minutes, 53 seconds into the first period of last Thursday night’s 7-4 Bruins loss.

Bruins head coach Claude Julien said Thornton biked on Sunday and skated Monday morning before the team’s practice. Julien added that Thornton has been symptom-free for a few days.

The Bruins next game is on Wednesday in Montreal. Julien said it’s “very doubtful” Thornton will play in the game.
