BOSTON (WHDH) -- In and outside of the Garden there was a lot of excitement leading up to Thursday night’s game -- fans hoping for a big win from the Celtics.

New signs went up Thursday offering Celtics fans a “Welcome to the jungle” and fans seemed ready to embrace the wild life.

Celtics captain Paul Pierce asked for it, tweeting out “I want the Garden…I mean the jungle to B as loud as ever some Thursday.”

It was Celtics star Kevin Garnett who gave the Garden its new name in a colorful nod to the fans after the Celtics Game 3 win -- and fans who were there for Game 3 and Game 4 couldn’t agree more.

“We were there the other night and it was rocking. It was rocking in there and its going to be rocking tonight,” said one Celtics fan.

“It’s wild. The crowd really pumps the Celtics up,” said another fan.

Fans are predicting they’ll have plenty more to cheer about Thursday night.
