Rondo interns at GQ for fashion week
NEW YORK (WHDH) -- He's been a pro on the basketball court for six years but Celtics star Rajon Rondo is facing another rookie season. The point guard is entering the fashion world.
Rajon Rondo says he's excited to be schlepping suitcases in his new position; he's a fashion intern at GQ Magazine.
“I think it’s a good idea. He’s very fashionable,” said Lynn Carbone.
The Boston Celtics super star point guard now running point for GQ as an intern for New York Fashion Week.
The big announcement was proudly announced by GQ's Editor in Chief. He says Rondo will be working closely with GQ's fashion department, attending fashion shows and writing about it for GQ.com.
“Wow, is he trying to be Tom Brady Jr.?” said Phil Colarusso.
But Rajon Rondo as a fashion critic? Considering some of his post game ensembles -- the loud red jacket with the pink stripes, the green vest with the interesting pockets -- his reputation as a fashion plate is, well, hot and cold.
“That’s odd. I think he’s a good-looking man, but I don’t know about that –- him being a critic of fashion. But God bless him. Hope he does well,” one woman said.
