BOLTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- The Celtics held their annual Shamrock Celebrity Golf Tournament Tuesday in Bolton, just three days before the start of training camp.

As Doc Rivers and the rest of the Celtics hit tee shots, it's pretty clear when the Celtics hit the court Rajon Rondo will be the leader.

“He proved he’s the best player on the team and he’s a guy that has earned the respect of his teammates and coaches. And I think that’s a big step,” said Danny Ainge, president of basketball operations.

Rondo took a huge step in the right direction, organizing his own team workouts before camp.

“The last couple of weeks they’ve had a lot of bonding. The entire team went to L.A. last week and played together,” said Doc Rivers, Celtics head coach.

With the addition of Jason Terry, big man of Darko Milicic and Jason Collins, the Celtics are even better -- especially with KG around.

“He can either make you great or crush you. It’s going to be one of the two. It’s not really an in between with Kevin. If you’re willing to learn, you can only get better playing with Kevin,” Rivers said.

As Jason Terry looks to fill the hole Ray Allen left behind, his approach to the game -- especially those against rivals -- is to do whatever it takes to eliminate the enemy.

“My mission is to kill whoever that is. Whether it’s the Heat, whether it’s the Lakers -- hopefully both, but that’s my mission and that’s what I’m going to do,” Terry said.
