BOSTON (WHDH) -- Despite the departure of Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo said last week this is the best Celtics team he's been a part of -- at least on paper.

The bold statement came after a busy off-season filled with new additions.

“You can put Courtney at the three, the two, you can put Green at the three, the four, the two,”Paul Pierce said.

Translation: the Celtics have options, depth, and a whole lot of new faced including rookies like Jared Sullinger, free agent pick-ups like Courtney Lee and veteran acquisitions like Jason Terry.

“You have to come in here one with an open mind and be very receptive to learning new things. Even though I’m 14 years in I’m still learning new things -- new ways to play the game. Obviously, learning from Doc, learning from even Rondo and KG, and Paul Pierce has been big for me,” said Jason Terry.

What better way to acclimate the new faces than an eight-day Euro trip to kick off the preseason. The C’s played two exhibition games and spent countless hours together as a team.

The new green team will be in action stateside Saturday against the Knicks
