Garnett no longer speaking to Ray Allen
BOSTON (WHDH) -- As we all know in Boston, Ray Allen went to the dark side, joining the Miami heat this offseason. On Friday, Kevin Garnett said he’s no longer speaking to Allen.
"I don't have Ray's number anymore so...I'm not trying to communicate, heh...just being honest with everyone. I don't wish him less than or whatever, it's just what it is,” said Garnett.
Allen had his own comeback after practice Saturday.
"That's a shame. I'm a good person to talk to on the phone,” said Allen.
"Even if I was still there I probably wouldn't have talked to him much over the summer, we're friends regardless of what happened...you know...I'm on another team."
Ray’s focus now is going all the way with Miami.
"You gotta be just as hungry. You almost got to be more paranoid, thinking now everyone really is chasing us, because last year when we won we were chasing somebody else,” said Allen.
So, after five years, do you think Ray Allen feels weird in a Heat uniform?
"People that are used to me in a different uniform are like, he looks weird in that uniform, but I never see myself so it doesn't really make a difference to me,” said Allen.
