Kevin Youkilis could be headed to the Yankees

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Former Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis may be heading to the Bronx.

Youkilis is a free agent, and the New York Daily News reported that Yankees GM Brian Cashman is talking with Youkilis' agent.

The Yankees need a third baseman, since Alex Rodriguez is recovering from hip surgery and will miss the first half of next season.

Youkilis spent nine seasons in Boston before being traded to the White Sox in June.
