President Obama speaks out on NHL lockout

UNDATED (WHDH) -- Thursday, President Obama spoke out on the NHL lockout.

He said -- he wants the owners and players to reach an agreement.

"My message to owners and to players is, you guys make a lot of money and you make a lot of money on the backs of fans, so do right by your fans."

Both sides met again yesterday but no significant progress has been made.

Last week, the league canceled all games through December 30th.
