Aly Raisman's parents react after all-around comp.

LONDON - 7's Ann Allred sat down with Aly Raisman's parents after her just-miss of the bronze medal in the all-around gymnastics competition Thursday.

“She did so great.”

Raisman’s father said she called them after she left the mat Thursday, “she was a little disappointed but we just told her, ‘you did awesome.’ We were so proud of her. You know, ‘You tied for third in the world, you’ve done everything you came here for.’”

Raisman was in fourth after the tiebreaker formula was calculated. 

“We really couldn’t even figure it out, even people from USA gymnastics couldn’t even figure it out until after, but you know, that’s the rule,” said her father.

"Have mixed feelings about tonight! Definitely bitter sweet. Tied for third at the Olympics but didn't get a medal with the tie breaker!" Raisman tweeted to her followers.

She also tweeted to congratulate teammate Gabby Douglas, "You are amazing. So proud of you. You did fantastic tonight!"

Raisman has two more opportunities to go for golds - and her parents will be there cheering her on.
