BOSTON (WHDH) -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been fined $10,000 for unnecessary roughness during the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The fine is a result of a play that happened late in the first half last Sunday night.
Brady slid leg-high on Ed Reed, catching the Ravens safety in the thigh with a little extra kick at the end.
No penalty was called on the play, and Reed said Brady later phoned him and apologized.
If anyone can empathize with Brady, it's Reed; the Ravens safety himself was fined over $100,000 for illegal hits this past season.
