Belichick says there's no replacing Vince Wilfork
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick says there's no replacing defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. The Boston Globe reports Wilfork has under gone surgery for a torn Achilles tendon, which will likely end his season.
Belichick calls it "a big loss" and says the defense will have to "pull together" to make up for Wilfork's absence.
The Patriots have re-signed rookie safety Kanorris Davis to the practice squad. Davis played on special teams against Atlanta on Sunday and was cut by New England on Monday.
He was signed by the Pats in the offseason as a rookie free agent out of Troy.
